A Committment to Faith Family and Community
The Road Less Traveled
Jay began working in the legal field in 1991 as a paralegal in his father's law office. His training as an attorney went far beyond the normal three years of law school. As a paralegal he worked extensively in the areas of workers' compensation, product liability, personal injury and long-shore, this work included trials in both state and federal courts as well as drafting successful appellate briefs at every level up to the Louisiana Supreme Court and the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix in 2001 and then his Juris Doctor from Regent University in 2007. In 2009 he was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar and has been a member of the Slidell Bar Association.
Following law school Jay worked as an associate with a prominent defense firm and then managed the Metairie office for a major plaintiff firm until 2011 when he opened his solo practice. In 2016 he changed the name of his practice to the Albe Law Firm, LLC. In 2018 he relocated the office from New Orleans to its current location in Olde Town Slidell. While the office is closer to his home, Jay has remained actively representing clients throughout Southeast Louisiana.
Jay has always believed that each of us have a responsibility to our families and our community to give back with the gifts and talents we possess. Following that core belief, Jay has been very active in the City of Slidell both in civil and youth sports organizations. He has served as Vice President and then President for the Slidell Youth Soccer Club from 2011 - 2015. He currently is Legal Counsel for the Non-Profit Slidell Pickleball Association. He is married to Angela Benz Albe and has three sons.

What Makes Us Different
JOSEPH "JAY" G. ALBE, JR.ATTORNEY - NOTARY"I have always felt that my most valuable asset was an ability to look beyond the obvious and see what is at the heart of a case and to truly understand what was most important to the client."
"Instead of just talking to my clients.... I listen.. I believe that most attorneys have a tendency to be so entrenched in their knowledge of the law and prior cases, they often forget that the client has a story to tell and sometimes the little details can make a huge difference in a case."
